PROCEDURES/EXPECTATIONS My classroom rules are pretty simple –
Come into the class prepared with all materials and textbook and be ready to learn when the bell rings. Every minute that students are not ready or prepared to learn takes time off of the learning of the concepts that are necessary for students to be prepared for high school math.
Try your best to learn the concepts. You will make mistakes. Learning takes place from working with those mistakes and figuring out what went wrong. Persevere through those “I don’t get it” problems. Use your resources. Doing the homework is the practicing the concepts. If you don’t practice, how are you going to show you have learned the skill?
Be respectful. This is being respectful to yourself, others, and the school. There will be times you will be working in groups or partners, and you might have issues with someone in your group. You still need to be respectful of everyone’s learning. Collaborating with others is a great way to learn. Staying focused on the task at hand, and giving your partner, or those in your group respect, everybody has a chance to learn. By helping others, helps you learn the material even better.
Students are responsible to learn from their errors. If student continues to make the same error, we can set up a time after school for extra help.
Student's work must be neat and organized.
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO LEARN ALL THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL!!
